Virtual Programming

The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa is proud to introduce our innovative microsite offering online programming.

The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa has been helping at-risk children and youth across our city for nearly 100 years. It has the greatest reach and impact on at-risk children and youth in the city with more than 100,000 visits per year. However, in this changing climate we recognize the importance of offering a continued on-line presence.

Online approaches will include live sessions, pre-recorded videos that can be shared with family and friends, social media challenges, 5-minute live sessions and much more.

Online offerings will include: STEM projects, arts and crafts, dance, music, yoga, fitness, and more!

The microsite will reflect our four pillars programming model:

  • Sports, physical recreation and health awareness
  • Arts and cultural appreciation
  • Education and career exploration
  • Leadership and life skills development

Our Mission:

To provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

Our Vision:

All children and youth discover and achieve their dreams and grow up to be healthy, successful, and active participants in society.

Our Values:

Belonging: we welcome everyone in a safe, accepting environment based on belonging and positive relationships

Respect: we ensure that everyone – children, youth, families, volunteers, staff – is heard, valued, and treated fairly

Encouragement: we encourage and support every child and youth to play, learn, and grow to achieve their dreams

Working Together: we work together with young families, volunteers, our communities, and government

Speaking Out: we speak out for our children, youth, and families, so that we can make our world better
